The Next Best Thing

Sometimes people get into relationships that they're realing not feeling. But they'll stay in it, either because they don't want to be alone right now or it would take too much energy to break up. Basically, they are simply waiting for the next best thing. Once the next best thing comes along, they plan to drop you without question and will do so very quickly. All the while the other person has been strung along, thinking that the relationship was going pretty well. That is so grimey.
